SO LAST NIGHT...was pretty fantastic. After the drive to CT and figuring out where to park, Michele Kaliegh and myself got to Toad's at about 6:30 pm. Doors were at 8. It wasn't that cold out and the rain had stopped hours before, so it wasn't bad at all. There were a couple girls in front of us in line who we were talking to...I forgot their names already, but they were really nice. We were talking about Will Hoge and SK6ERS and Marc Broussard and basically a bunch of really awesome musicians that we all had in common.Doors opened on time, which was pretty awesome. We got inside and were probably, idk, like 15-20 rows back at that point. There was like no one on the 21+ side (which was lame in general, but whatevs), which was on Taylor's side, so Michele went over there and she said she got like 4th row in front of Tay and she was apparently standing next to the girl from Deal or No Deal, lol.The opening band, The Cringe, was horrible. Like, they weren't really bad musicians, but their songs were just HORRENDOUS. Boring, had no melody whatsoever, all sounded the same. The lead singer is married to Rachel Ray and he totally had to throw that out there. Like, you shouldn't have to use your wife's fame to get people to remember your shitty band, lol. And at the end he tried to smash his guitar but it totally didn't break. I think he gave it away to some girl in the audience. I guess he can afford to use his wife's money to break instruments, too, lol, because he was totally not rockstar enough to pull that off and make it look cool. The second they stopped playing, like before they even got off stage, people started chanting "HANSON HANSON HANSON" lol. It was pretty funny. Ummm and then after waiting a while, HANSON FINALLY CAME ON STAGE FJLHFJK. They were all REALLY HAPPY. Taylor was all smiles, all night. It was so great to see. When they came out, the crowd shifted a lot and Kaleigh and I got pushed forward, probably like 10th row center. Toward the end we ended up a little more toward the side, with a pretty perfect view of Taylor I can't do song by song reviews of shows, because I'd say that every song was OMG SOOO AMAZING, but I'll say this:-They started off with great Divide, and it was AMAZINGGG.-Lost Without Each Other was so fun, I don't think I've screamed words to a song louder IN MY LIFE.-Go sounded AMAZING acoustic. The harmonies were spectacular.-Blue Sky kicked ass. That's just all there is to it.-Ok, so Mmmbop. Obviously, I've heard this song 398098 times and they play it at almost every concert, but seriously? If they ever didn't play Mmmbop I think I'd cry. Before they played it last night, Taylor was like "We've been doing this for 10 years thanks to amazing people like you guys" and it was so cute. Like, I've loved this band for 10 years and they just keep getting better and better. During the song, Tay turned his mic to the audience and had us sing it...he ran around stage pumping people up, it was crazy. That song, I don't even care, there's something magic about it.-I was REALLY excited for Tearing it Down live, and they played it! I was so excited. Then during the song, some girl like 2 rows in front of us passed out cold and was like, lying on the floor and there was so much commotion. I had been WAITING for the n-n-n-n-n-n-nah part because I LOVE IT, and then I totally didn't get to hear it because I was too busy watching this passed out girl. Fucker. The crowd wasn't even bad, so there was no excuse to pass out....and I'm a bitch for saying that. I'm kidding, kind of. lol.-UMM WATCH OVER ME WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER. I never thought that an Ike song would be a highlight of a concert for me BUT IT ROCKED. Wooooowww. Yeah, that's really all I can say about it. They had the whole audience na na na-ing along, and it was just fantastic. And then they got off stage. BEST PART OF THE NIGHT: So, they come back on stage for the encore and Taylor JUMPS on top of his piano and then proceeds to grab a rafter on the ceiling and swing from it like an Orangutan. BEST. MOMENT. OF. MY. LIFE. I thought I was screaming as loud as I possibly could and then Taylor did that and I somehow found it in me to scream EVEN LOUDER. It was the hottest thing a Hanson has ever done. Ever. omg, I died, basically. And then they played Rock
